Two trainee army personnel and their friends were beaten up and asked for money by some people in Madhya Pradesh's Mhow on Wednesday (September 11) night. Investigators told The Indian Express that the accused were on a two-wheeler at night and were looking for a person from whom they could loot the money. The accused had demanded Rs 10 lakh from him. The victim is in shock and has refused to record her statement.

The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh. An FIR has been lodged against the accused on the basis of the woman's complaint. I think something bad has happened to her. On the other hand, despite repeated persuasion by the investigating officer, the victim has not yet recorded her statement. "Either shoot the accused or kill me," she said.

Indore Rural Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal told The Indian Express that the victim was not in a mood to give a statement at the moment. We will wait for the situation to improve. We have arrested three accused - Anil, Pawan and Ritesh.

According to the FIR, the two jawans, along with their two friends, had gone for a walk at around 11 pm at Jam Gate near the Army's firing range. At around 2.30 pm, a group of seven to eight people attacked them with sticks and rods. After the attack, when the jawan asked them what they wanted, the attackers demanded Rs 10 lakh. One of the attackers had a gun in his hand. Everyone's faces were covered. According to the FIR, he was between 20 and 35 years of age.

Opposition hits out at BJP
Meanwhile, politics has also heated up on this issue. The opposition parties are holding protests to corner the BJP government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the law and order situation in the state was very bad. The BJP's approach towards violence against women is becoming negative day by day and this is a matter of great concern.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, however, defended the police, saying the police acted immediately after the incident and arrested the three accused and were looking for the other accused. All of them will be arrested soon. The government is taking strict actions on the issue.
