The Patna High Court commuted the death sentence to life imprisonment. today). The court has given an important decision. On October 24, 2013, a bomb was hurled at Modi's rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

The first blast took place in a toilet on platform number 10 of Patna Junction during Modi's rally. This was followed by a series of blasts at Gandhi Maidan and six other places. Six people were killed and 89 were injured. Sushil Kumar Shinde was the Home Minister at that time.


A case has been registered at the Gandhi Maidan Police Station. The case was later handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The NIA had filed a charge sheet against all the accused in 2014.

187 people responded to the court. A local court later convicted Imtiyaz Alam, Haider Ali, Numan Ansari and Mojibullah Ansari and sentenced them to death. A local court in Patna awarded the death penalty to the four convicts. The accused challenged this in the high court.

The four accused in the case have been sentenced to 30 years in jail.
Two of the accused have already been sentenced to life imprisonment.
